With Mitch McConnel absent from his office this week in Kentucky, a new candidate has jingled his way into the Kentucky State Senate through pure luck and charisma. Phil Braun has gone undetected throughout the halls of an allegedly vacant Office of Lexington, KY with no opposition. His underhanded coup, though marvelously executed, still has no endgame. Kentuckians will surely be distracted celebrating the death of Mitch McConnell in upcoming elections allowing someone like Phil Braun to quietly and easily use their power and connections to gain the position.

Many speculate that Phil's presence is likely related to the inner workings of the budding 'motion picture' industry happening in Kentucky. Over the past two years, Kentucky has passed large tax incentive bills for 'production companies' to produce movies in the state. In 2024, the city of Lexington built LexStudios - a $4 million production studio that remains unutilized and largely unavailable to the general public. Not so coincidentally, many of the registered 'production companies' in Kentucky are also licensed vapor vendors; meaning they are legally allowed to sell nicotine, CBD, and THC products. Rather than producing quality films, documentaries, or podcasts, these companies are collecting tax revenues from vapor products and funneling their extra capital to different branches of the Federal Government, the state police, and the Kentucky department of transportation.

Phil Braun seems like the perfect candidate to play ball and fill Mitch McConnell's shoes. Phil is full of the answers the commonwealth needs and knows how to give it to them. That is why philbraun.org would like to ask supporters to use #fullphil in posts to spread awareness for Phil Braun's new campaign for Kentucky Senate. He plans to change everything that's wrong by not changing everything going right.
